a. A primary receptacle
b. A secondary packaging
c. And an outer packaging
If you need to transport a category B hazardous sample which is a fluid, you will need have a secondary pack which contains an absorbent material which can absorb the full contents of the fluid under a breakage, and is leak proof. The tube or the pack which contains it must be able to withstand 95kPa.
Note: The test for packaging to comply with 95kPa standards is quite vigorous and there are some suppliers who sell 95kPa packaging which is not compliant.
Please ask to see the independent test certificate for all 95kPa packaging you purchase to have total piece of mind regarding compliance.
All our 95kPa pouches are independently checked and we can supply certification for them on request.
